Is there an option to hide the selection list once I've made a selection?

No, you're not missing anything. There isn't a setting for that just yet, but it's on its way. Some users complained about it auto-hiding in the old version and I decided to make it an option, but I haven't decided yet which behavior should be the default. :)

I just published an update that adds an option to auto-hide the popup after clicking on a preset (you can find it under settings » popup). :)
